Oh wow, that's a lot of notifications! It'll probably take me a bit until I fully figure this thing out, but I'm already getting the same "cool niche community" vibes that Google Plus had for me back in the day.
@layers twitter was just a refuge for my forced migration from G+. I never really liked the tone and tempo over on the bird site. But it was better than Facebook and it's where most of my 3dp nerd friends went. I hope this new platform works out. It'll still never be as frictionless as Google Plus felt like to me. But it's the people, not the platform, that'll make it a home.
@eclsnowman Twitter was fine for me for the longest time - but I really had to put the effort in to moderate my own timeline and to make a welcoming place.
