Had been reading about Reverse Psychology lately and if you've opened this, this is what it actually is.

Few days ago i came across the idea of Minimalism and i got really caught up with that idea. The idea is to only focus on things that add value to your life and nothing else.

However, i apply that mindset towards the applications and services that i have subscribed to. Starting today I'm decluttering my online experience by unsubscribing from the services that don't really add value to my online presence.

It's so ironical that people who have "My life, My rules" written on their Instagram bio, spend all their life caught up in digital social feedback loop of likes and comments, the infinite recommendation swipe-up's and let Instagram decide the rules for their lives.

Friend : Why should i focus on if I'm not doing anything against the Authoritarians?

We live in a democracy. And for proper functioning of democracy the law of civil liberties is essential. The whole point of democracy is to limit the power of the government to give power in the hands of people. Civil liberties and free speech specifically are the actions that are performed by private people in a private space.

I had been heavily tied into Google Ecosystem since 2 years. I tried to get out of it ever since i got to know how invasive it can get. And, It took me 6 months to migrate my data out of Google Ecosystem to other services and delete my account today.

Never knew how bad ecosystem hooks can be when you're trying to get out of it. :ac_exclaim:

The more i have worked on iOS app development, the more i have been drawn towards swift language. Xcode is a mess tho! 🤷‍♀️

If being myself is "boring" according to social media standards, then I'd rather be!

Hey Apple,

Saying you block trackers but not blocking Google Analytics is like saying you practice safe sex when you cut off the heads of your condoms.

Sincerely,
A guy who makes an app that actually blocks trackers

I wanted to write about the Google Ecosystem and my DeGoogling process since a very long time. However, I restricted to write about the ecosystem and it's vices in general. What it is and why forming an ecosystem (which doesn't value you) around your online presence is a bad idea. :ac_amazed:

Every now and then i look back at my old repositories to check the kind of code i had written. Reminds me of how far i have come to date and how long i could possibly go! :ac_heart:

Opinions?

From the book "Life 3.0" by Max Tegmark

"For example, Once AI becomes able to generate fully realistic fake videos of you committing crime, will you vote for a system where the government tracks everyone's whereabouts at all times and can provide you with an ironclad alibi if needed?"

Google shoots itself in the foot yet again by killing off a decent service and "monetizing" its ersatz replacement. You're just better off getting a single board computer and running mpd.

Boss: Do we know "Jungle Python"?
Me: 'the fuck is a jungle python?

Life 3.0 - Max Tegmark

Had been reading Life 3.0 by Max Tegmark and it really poses some important questions in this age of AI. Will the AI take over our jobs, Will it be beneficial? What's the major threat that faces us and how do we prepare for it. Now I'm left more inquisitive than ever wanting to explore this unknown territory deeper.

You can't fight an enemy you can't see. COVID is the enemy, and testing is the reconnaissance.

I started my new blog on Write.as because apparently i have so much to say than the 500 character limit sometimes :) And i had to begin by writing about my love towards the art of coding. Surely, coding is an art because, just like any other art, you learn it by making mistakes and learning from them. And people often ask me why i love coding so much! Here's why :ac_agreement:

Weird thing i encountered with my phone today, it won't charge unless restarted. Not sure if it's LineageOS specific or Device specific. Guess I'll spend the rest of my day exploring. 🤷‍♀️

Frustrating thing about iOS development is when you and your team mates have different Xcode versions and everything just breaks.

The German Corona Warn App went live today. F-Droid cannot distribute the app for multiple reasons:

1) The core bluetooth contact tracing functionality is only implemented in Google play services and requires proprietary client libs to be included in the app.
2) The google api mentioned above is only available for use by apps which are whitelisted by google and distributed through the play store.

Experimented with ResurrectionOS for a while which is a fork of LineageOS which i had been using for quite a while now. However, the customizability of ResurrectionOS can't seem to catch up with Simplicity of LineageOS. I had to revert :)
