@kylethedeveloper for domain hosting, I use NameCheap becaure they're cheap and all their domains come with WhoIs guard for free.
Hosting is a whole other matter, as it depends on what your needs are. I can personally recommend Ionos - they're not the cheapest, but are very good.
I can reccomend contabo for both.
They go from cheap VPS to dedicated servers and are really helpful. When you open a support ticket they usually respond the same day.
If you don't need a full VPS, but like to live on the Linux command line it really is great. I also like, that they don't have any arbitrary restrictions. If something doesn't work it's due to them not having a good solution for providing it on a shared host (yet).
They've got a pay-what-you-want policy and a completely free evaluation period, no strings attached whatsoever.
@kylethedeveloper Cool - Edward Hopper 🙂 - interesting artist - http://www.museumsyndicate.com/artist.php?artist=54
