I stopped along my bike ride to get water and I saw this antique American car at the local Tim Hortons/gas station. Clearly a Ford Falcon, not sure of the exact year, probably mid to late sixties? Not in the mood to search. 🙃

How to make a computer secure:

1. Turn it off.
2. Unplug everything.
3. Remove all batteries.
4. Actually, just smash the whole thing.
5. And drop it in some kind of strong acid.

The computer is now safe from most classes of malware and tampering.

OK so the Markdown styling I used didn't seem to work here, so hopefully it's not too much of an eyesore.

Was perusing around and found this, while I use Kanboard on @yunohost for more detailed tracking for day to day stuff I may well start using this: [nullboard](github.com/apankrat/nullboard). Just thought it was cool looking.

Recently, I had asked for input on blue light blocking glasses to use at work. Several suggestions were made and ultimately, I ended up trying 2 different pairs of glasses. The first pair worked but, the lenses were made of resin and smudged easily. The other pair (see pics) has lenses constructed from poly-carbonate. They run around $40 but, the lens quality is much better. I'm very happy with the purchase and noticing a big difference. 😃 Thank you for all your input.

Thought I'd chime in, since I haven't in a while. I've been looking in just haven't had anything to say. If you haven't heard of it and use `ssh` a lot then check out: asbru-cm.net/. I use it on my local network for doing things on my rpi's and I just find it useful.

As a fairly new user of mastodon and a one week member of this community I just want to say thank you guys for being just great! I am enjoying fosstodon too much!
Cheers 🐘🍻

I'm currently beginning to use github.com/laurent22/joplin and liking it so far. I like that it is simple, at least to my mind. I've tried looking at a couple of other note-taking apps that just seemed overly complex.

Thank glob for googling serial numbers on weird chips you find in your devices to find out what they are.

I get a lot of email from "hackers" who have apparently hacked my computer and recorded me doing various things. Ignoring the fact that, uh, no you didn't, I'm not at all intimidated by the fact you have "Mike.mp4". How incriminating could this video possibly be? Really?

@gentoorebel Thanks for the follow, I used Gentoo once, back when I had a 486 to spare and compiled everything, I swear it took me like a week to get it working right through all the waiting. Just not my flavor now. Be good my friend.

I will shamelessly plug projects I use or find useful to help bring attention to them, especially single developer projects that I come across. Not a programmer myself, yet. That may change, but for now I like trying to contribute through documentation and awareness.
