What's the difference between KDF and and a hashing function?

I've been happily using Firefox 89 in Fedora 34, until recently it got unusable for some reason. When I launch firefox (from terminal or from the launcher it doesn't change) I have to wait for at least 3 minutes before a window shows up! I tried to delete every bit of firefox and reinstall but the result is the same. Ideas?

Hi peeeps! How's everyone doing? I just finished watching a 007 movie in 2160p in mpv, and I can't help being grateful to open source and free software. mpv is *the* thing. VA-API works perfectly so decoding is super light on my CPU and offloads everything to my Intel iGPU.

Do you folks like the new Firefox redesign? I do and I hope that Firefox gets more and more market share, I really fear that chromium browsers will become the only browser around.

You're not a bad person for liking things that are proprietary. You are not immoral for enjoying things that were made behind closed doors. You are not less of a person for having the desire for XYZ product from a premium company, regardless of whether they contribute to open source or not.

Maneskin rock! Congrats folks, proud of you :))))) ๐Ÿ’ช ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บ

Almost finished nickname and pause log, with admin feature in my real time streaming cinema. It's written in Java + Kurento, and I am not really proficient in Java. The Angular frontend is written in a hurry and to work around some Kurento JS API limitations I did some ugly hack, sorryyyyyyyyyyy.

I've just been on the phone with a woman who asked me some questions on a cybersecurity course I'm attending rn, as part of an interview with a local newspaper. I replied to her questions trying to simplify (dumb it down) my replies. Did I just mainsplained her? Was the whole simplifying thing unnecessary? What do you think a correct approach should be?

It's hilarious how Angular team manages to produce so many releases in such a small fraction of time. And there is always some breaking change lol.
btw I love Angular
