Since about two weeks, we've been trying out a Keyoxide Community Forum using the #foss #flarum project.
You can find it here: https://community.keyoxide.org
This was started after the feedback of many non-developer people who had questions/requests but weren't familiar enough with git forges to raise issues there.
And so far, discussions on it have been interesting and productive 🤩
If you'd like to propose a new service for #keyoxide, we hope you'll find the forum an inviting place to do so 🚀
If you have a platform or website you'd like to be able to verify your account(s) on, you are invited to suggest it on the Community Forum: https://community.keyoxide.org
This way, we can start discussing and get it working as soon as possible 😎
I just made my first #opensource #fork, #commit and #pullrequest!
It was just some simple corrections to the #keyoxide documentation, but feels good enough to toot about it! ;)
I signed up for @keyoxide today! 🎉
Keyoxide is similar to keybase, but is AGPL-3.0-or-later licensed.
My Keyoxide page is linked on my profile if anyone's interested. I also linked this Mastodon account to the key.
Looks like a good option for people who frequently deal with secure online communications.
Last reminder: at 10 CET we start our #OpenPGP webinar where a number of awesome projects working to advance encryption share their work and discuss the future of (Open)PGP. No signup needed, join the talk! https://nlnet.nl/events/20211123/PGP/index.html
Don't forget! Tomorrow at 10 CET we start our #OpenPGP event with many wonderful presentations from the devs of Sequoia (including @nwalfield), @keyoxide, talks about GPG-based #email encryption for emails at rest, plug&play encryption for customer relationship management & more! No signup needed, just join the (BigBlueButton)room at 10 -> https://review.ngi-0.eu:2019/ 🔐 👋 🆓
Another little #AndroidAppRain at @fdroidorg with 35 updates and 3 new apps today:
* Keyoxide: decentralized cryptographic identities on the go
* AutoDND: toggle DND automatically when using specified apps
* AmSprung: Abfahrtszeiten der Wiener Linien Öffis
📣 Last announcement for a while, and one I'm personally quite excited about: there's a Rust library in development to work with the decentralized identity verification ecosystem! 🎉
Not used in a project just yet but will be when it matures!
Blog post: https://blog.keyoxide.org/doip-rust/
Repo: https://codeberg.org/keyoxide/doip-rs
You could be of tremendous help by looking at the (still small) source code and pointing out bugs and bad code! PRs are welcome :)
As always, source code is available on @codeberg
https://codeberg.org/keyoxide/keyoxide-flutter
Codeberg is the kind of change we want to see in the world. Be sure to support them with a donation or even becoming member!
Busy week for #keyoxide but at least we can show off new stuff!
📣 As of today, there's a Keyoxide Android app 🎉
It's a client much like the website (so no key editing just yet…) and will allow you to verify identities in pretty much the same way: copy-paste a fingerprint or email address and voilà!
And soon supporting QR code scanning for easier input!
Also in the process of putting on #fdroid !
Big 👏👏👏 for our very own @Seferi who developed it!

📣 The second—and last—announcement for today is a little smaller but not unimportant:
The Keyoxide docs are now on their own subdomain: https://docs.keyoxide.org
Now that it is maintained separately, it will be easier to add more general purpose content! Can't wait to write more articles on OpenPGP key management, arguably still the trickiest part of these decentralized identities!
Blog post: https://blog.keyoxide.org/keyoxide-documentation-update/
It's still a little rough around the edges but this is a marathon, not venture capitali—I mean, a sprint.
📣 The first of the bigger announcements 🎉
We're launching https://ariadne.id, an experimental living document that contains all the knowledge that powers #keyoxide!
This should make it easier to make independent libraries, implementations, apps and websites 😎
Aaaand: *proof@ariadne.id=* 🤩
Let's claim back sovereignty over our online identity!
Blog post: https://blog.keyoxide.org/ariadne-spec/
📣 It's not much yet but it's something: #keyoxide has its own blog now :)

More announcements in the coming days!
