Why are people deleting their Keybase accounts?
I assume it’s a result of the sale to Zoom, but I don’t understand it. Yeah, Zoom have had some privacy and security issues, but I think that’s more indicative of their huge rise in popularity, rather than them being a bad company. From what I’ve seen, they’re taking the issues seriously and trying to fix them.
Am I missing something?
yes @kev , I've seen a lot of stuff happening. I've seen icq being popular because was using a jabber protocol, and then dismissed because was bought by aol. I've seen google being popular because was running under linux, and became the company we know today. I've seen github blamed because was bought by microsoft. and so on... just this time I said "wait". I don't have a zoom account, I don't need it, I don't chat with keybase, but this time just I want to wait before taking actions
