@Edent saw them in Toronto on Oct/82. Nash the Slash opened, followed by Joe Jackson. It did not go well.

Joe Jackson was a late replacement for The Clash & people who had bought tickets to see them were *not* happy. He eventually left the stage after being beaned with a beer bottle (or possibly a hot dog depending on story).

The Who were awesome. So was Joe Jackson a few days later at the NAC in Ottawa. A much better venue for him but you could tell he was still worried at the start of show.
