Damn, he is so right about this. And I've been completely unsuccessful in explaining this to my relatives.
I'm a follow up, rip Facebook and Instagram a new one:
"That’s exactly what Apple is doing — giving users awareness over what is going on, and control over it. What Mosseri is really asking for here is the opposite — for Apple to allow the user-tracking ad industry to continue operating in the dark."
