I spent the last few days implementing a language interpreter at work. Its an healthcare specialized language.
Working with parsers and syntax trees made me curious about developing my own general purpose language :ablobcatbongo:

Why a lot of people abuses the sensitive content feature marking whatever image as sensitive?

I want to move away from maps to , but the lack of street numbers on many areas makes it unusable for me. :blobcatsadlife:

I regret having opened so many accounts on services here and there when I was less privacy concious. I still discover I have accounts on services I completely forgot and it is a pain to manually delete them... :ablobcatrainbow:

Keep that curiosity alive. Keep learning. You have the same amount of potential now as you did then.

The only difference is that your capacity to learn, and the resources extended to you, are far greater than when you were an child.

Use that capacity to its full potential.

You are far more capable than you yourself know.

This New Zealand start-up has found a way to extract #gold from old circuit boards using inexpensive chemicals & microbes that absorb precious metals. They aim to make it easier & profitable for cities to process their #ewaste locally. Worth watching 💡 : bit.ly/3irdmDK

Incredibly exciting to get official confirmation that Germany's health service (@gematik1@twitter.com) has standardised on Matrix for secure decentralised communications, targeting all 150,000 healthcare organisations in Germany(!!!) 🤯 Read all about it at matrix.org/blog/2021/07/21/ger 💉🇩🇪🚀

After years of Linux as my daily driver, I'm thinking of switching to or for my personal laptop. The only impediment is my lazyness (I have the same Arch installation since 5 years ago :blobcatfingerguns: ).

I should do some maintainance to my : changing brakes, belts (it's Ducati), oil and clean the chain... but my procrastination level is epic these days.

I found out you can simplify the firefox gui into a single line with some custom CSS, and I am loving it.

@h3artbl33d i have a VPS for some websites, configured with #NixOS

you find the config here: codeberg.org/davidak/nixos-con

i'm generally against self-hosting of e.g. e-mail or git and instead for community maintained services like @codeberg. it's not efficient when everyone does it themselves and not everyone is a professional sysadmin (i am tho). it's OK if you do it for fun, but consider contributing in a community effort

I finally watched yesterday evening. As usual I don't understand anything in Nolan's movies... but it was enjoyable.

I've spent this morning refactoring my configuration to use the native and available in v0.5.0.

It looks promising: it is much faster than my previous setup using go-vim, rust-vim and ALE. I completely removed go-vim and rust-vim, but I'm still keeping ALE to report everything, run linters and fixers.

I want to offload all of my (and your) purchasing decisions strictly to AI. It will decide what brands of toiletry, comestibles and alcohol I spend money on. I will write blogs on what a load off my shoulders it has been, so that everyone hops on board.

Consequently, advertising will switch gears and begin targeting robots exclusively. Upon detecting me browsing the web as a human, they will deliberately not show any ads, knowing it would lead to no purchases, and is a waste of marketing funds.

Giving @tut a try! It's easy to remember keybindings. I like it so far...

Well, I finally joined Mastodon! I'm planning to delete my Twitter and Facebook accounts... I don't use them much in any case.
