Recently learned that the Creative Commons Attribution 2.x licenses cannot be used in Debian, although 3.0 and later are ok.
@jvalleroy DRM clauses right?
@mattl No, it's related to the specific forms of attribution required. See https://lists.debian.org/debian-legal/2004/04/msg00031.html.
@jvalleroy this is 1.0 not 2.0?
@mattl Yes, and on https://wiki.debian.org/DFSGLicenses#Creative_Commons_Attribution_License_.28CC-by.29.2C_v1.0 , it mentions the 2.0 is "under discussion".
Further down the page at https://wiki.debian.org/DFSGLicenses#Creative_Commons_Attribution_Share-Alike_.28CC-BY-SA.29_v3.0, it says 2.0 and 2.5 are not compatible.
