Every flash drive I wrote the Apline ISO to using Etcher is now bunged. Can't even format the things, just constant access denied and it mounts in readonly..

Happy Columbus day to fellow Americans. Hope the weather is fair and your BBQ turns out great.

I couldn't think of a way to add a proper description to this:

Well my flash drive only mounts in read-only now. I wanted a hassle free day lol.

Does anyone know what driver is the open source one for and apu/GPU specifically the amd A8? Oh this is in BTW.

Got homework tonight and more stuff to do but dang my headache is just getting worse.

I like Alpine and honestly I think it can be a great OS. But it requires a lot of setting stuff up and running things in flatpaks (which I don't care for). Since I need my laptop for school and play, I'll be reinstalling Debian.

But I think I'll stick with Alpine on my mini desktop and dual boot Windows10 with it. I honestly love the simple and clean slate of Alpine, but I don't have the time right now to setup so much stuff.

Wifi seems to be working now. Another issue to tackle is the ugly hand cursor in Firefox.

Wikipedia2text isn't avaible for alpine.
I don't want to live on this planet anymore...

Sorted most issues with alpine and sway. Now I got to rewrite my bash scripts to support bash and ash

So I learned if I mix branches in Alpine repo bad things happen. Swapped community and main to edge and Firefox started working.

Bah hum bug!

I'm also in the process of taking notes and keep track of changes I make. Maybe after I figure stuff out I can do a fresh install and have things solved and move on to actual work.

Well after bitching a little, Sway decided to start working a little and I'm making progress. I got a desktop, but fonts are terrible and the dmenu isn't working. Guess I'll poke a little more.

Well it seems I just can't get Sway running on Alpine. I really really want to use this combo, but, I got work that needs to be done. Think I'll install Windows until I'm ready to try again.

I thought would be in the packages/repos. But nothing seems to come up. Am I missing something?

Alpine Linux surprised me with it's installer. I was expecting something like Debian's installer.
