qoto.org looks like an interesting instance, though I'm seeing more political and tech like stuff than what their about page includes as topics.

Haven't seen the first math problem posted...

Starting to think running my own instance might be a good idea even though I hate the thought of a empty local timeline.

I almost never look at local timelines.

@john lol im the opposite, I live in the local timeline and rarely at the federated timeline.

@jordan31
I live in the Home timeline - people I follow. With a ton of words filtered.

@john @jordan31

Lists! I bounce between a couple of lists of people that I know / like / Follow / and the home timeline.

Export / Download your info and upload it to a new instance and you'll still be following the same peoples.

I was able to figure this out, as I didn't have to take time to clean off iron skillets. ๐Ÿ˜œ

Running
Ducking
For Cover.

@randynose @jordan31

Based on the emojis I'm guessing there's a pun here, that I'm just missing.

@john @jordan31
John, Jordan likes to cook with iron skillets. I'm a little more, um, Lazy and use slippery cooking ware.

As for the emoji's...

You've never heard someone say after they teased someone,
Running and ducking for cover?

Yea, the Home Timeline is really just a list of anyone that you follow.

When you make a list, it's really just a truncated version of that.

I rarely look at the Local or Federated timeline. - I've got enough going on with whom I already know. = And I don't do much on here during the week.
