Somebody made the perfect developer survey – sadly on Twitter, but the results are hilarious. https://twitter.com/tef_ebooks/status/953186333455015936
Before I go ruining my instance, is there any way to give a user their username back? I assume I can do something with the database but I'm not 100% certain.
Friend made an account, I promoted them to admin expecting to have to option to demote them if needed but I found that I didn't. So I had them delete their account then remake it. Only to find that their username was taken.
Anyone know how to fix this so they can have the same username?
(please boost 🙏)
date -d "+ 20 years"|| date -v +20y # Tomorrow at 01:37:04 UTC is the halfway point between Y2K and the Unix signed 32-bit epoch rollover on Jan 19th, 2038. Think it doesn't matter? Consider that Raspbian OS for Raspberry Pi's is still 32-bit. https://bit.ly/Y2038prob
Note to self: fully switch to GitLab before this happens. 🤦♂️

I'm kind of nervous about this but I think it's finally ready.
What I've been working on over the past few months is, in part, my website. I've added a few pages, changed some things around, and done a lot of CSS work. It's a lot cleaner than it used to be.
In addition to that (and this was the real time-sink), I'm now #selfhosting 9 different #libre applications available for anyone to use completely free of charge. #NixNet is now a Libre Hosting provider!
#100daysofcode Day 15: I helped debug some gyro sensor code for a highschool robotics team my brother is on.

Does your school give the data of your children to a random cloud provider in another country? Or does it what the capital of Switzerland does for its 35.000 students, keeping their data safe and secure in their own #nextcloud?
#100daysofcode Day 14 (yesterday): I installed #Ubuntu with #zfs on the remaining 3 nodes, and made a script to install a remote #xfce desktop with some custom settings: https://github.com/johanvandegriff/zfs-server-cluster-setup/blob/master/ubuntu-admin-tools.sh

With Britain leaving the EU soon, how much space will be freed up?
Yes, I did laugh at this. Check the profile. Dad jokes are totally in my wheelhouse.
#100daysofcode Day 13, a very lucky one! I was busy this week but I got back into the challenge today and it went great. I gave up on booting #zfs from #centos (grub2-install: error: unknown filesystem.) and tried #ubuntu instead, and it worked the first time! https://github.com/johanvandegriff/zfs-server-cluster-setup/blob/master/ubuntu-zfs-setup.sh Tomorrow, I plan to install it on the other 3 nodes in the server and start playing around with #kubernetes on some real hardware. I can't wait!
