I kinda ended up writing a whole response to the lastest post by @kev on my #blog, how true is it that Linux users like to complicate themselves?
A little rambley as always but I need to catch up!

@joeligj12 @kev I agree with the points you made, but I don't think they addressed Kev's issue. Which are users that tell new users to rtfm, instead of guiding them. Or suggesting solutions as the best or ideal regardless of the situation.
Linux has plenty of simple tools and solutions, and enough options for most needs that it both helps and hurts it. That's not the issue. The issue is Linux users shitting on Ubuntu as a child's OS, or suggesting a too technical solution like running docker.
@redeagle yeah I kinda deviated a little, but still, going with what I said, docker can be an option when it comes to stuff that is already difficult to do anyways, if its going to get easier in the long run.
I gotta admit I dislike Ubuntu and I don't consider it an option for new users, but I think its still a decent option
