I think I am starting to get interested in doing more analogue writing and planning, maybe I'll even try journaling too or something.
Regardless, checking off boxes on paper is more fun than I expected.
This is day 11 of #100DaysToOffload!
@joel
I'm curious, is this tendency correlated at all to your mentioning that you've been reading Analog Office? ;)
@joel most of my stuff I write digitally, but I still have my XL moleskine lying around on my desk. From time to time, I just write something down there. Or plan something out. For example, doing calculating by hand instead of using an app or drawing something I plan to build with wood or for our house.
I started a bullet journal a few years ago. Kept it going but it devolved from actual monthly planning and tracking to just a few notes. Ultimately I stopped.
I starting keeping a daily journal at the beginning of 2023. The goal was "one page, first thing."
I write about the previous day, any thoughts I have about the coming day. How I feel about things.
Just me checking in with myself.
I have digital checklists and calendars but I still do that one bit of long hand writing each day
@joel pen and paper forever
@joel Reading the entire bible is still on my life goal list. I mean, I know the damn book, through years of education, but I think it makes sense to read a book as influential at least once in a lifetime.
@joel The only paper tracking I do these days is using large sticky notes. I’ll write down ideas as they fly in to eventually land on my todo list, or write the days todos there so I’m not checking my phone every 5 seconds but to check things off.
This is mostly just a side effect of not trusting myself to keep track of things though. I love the idea of paper notebooks and journals but haven’t been able to keep track of their contents well enough to run with it. Maybe after uni it’ll be easier…
