food m, nutrition ask

anyone who is vegan or vegetarian:
what are some things you keep in your cupboards/freezer to maintain Health and get that Nutrition?

i struggle with executive dysfunction and need food with a long shelf life to bridge times where i don't manage to go buy food
anyone have any tips?

My main ones currently are:
- nuts & sesame seeds
- dried chickpeas or beans
- jars of beans
- cans of apricots
- crackers (to replace bread)
- soups (if i find it)
- various frozen vegetables
- rice & couscous

@asterkwaster it may be somewhat unpleasant, but protein powder can be good: satiating, good to fill in macros that can be hard to get with vege foods. If you’re vegan, unfortunately the best ones (in terms of digestibility and taste) are milk-based (whey & casein)

@jamesnvc I'm not vegan, but milk brings me pain so that does limit my options.

@asterkwaster Ah, yeah...my friend who has issues with dairy tried buying some pea/rice protein blend that he ended up just disposing of because it was too vile to consume 😆
I have heard good things about hemp protein though.
