I was "minted" in 1968. 
I think I went through school just after they stopped teaching slide rules.
That's a shame, since learning how to use slide rules in the past few years has expanded my math proficiency, and my college major was math!
Frankly, I have FORGOTTEN a lot of math. Use it or lose it!
