@iah Can't find anything anywhere about the source code, and not decentralized either. I wouldn't trust it.

@iah Many of the people I knew on Google+ are moving to MeWe after the shutdown, but to me it made little sense to move to another proprietary network that will die the moment the company behind it runs out of funding.

Plus, any company-owned network needs to make money eventually, and most business models for social networks hurt the users one way or another.

@colomar @iah I created an account to have a look and deleted it less than an hour later. Another closed silo with a slightly different connection method from memory, something about groups... maybe, I forget. It wasn’t very memorable. I disliked the idea for the same reasons.

@iah I had an account. Didn't like the atmosphere and discovered that it was a closed garden much like CompuServe way back. After a week I deleted my account and decided to go Fediverse for good.
