I'm tired of default keyboard layouts for Vietnamese and I also kinda don't wanna install ibus. Is there a way to customize my keyboard layout for a specific language?
Just found a post in KDE forum from 5 years ago saying there's no graphical way.
Oh til you can compose several dead keys together. I'll make a dead key based layout then.
Oof I messed up my Vietnamese keyboard
OK I'll just snapper back
@mcsinyx I figured out I had to edit those files but didn't find the tutorial.
I know what to do in this Tet holiday now :p
@huy_ngo If you was about to install ibus, what would you recommend for Vitenamese typing, ibus-bamboo or ibus unikey?
@thang I don't intend to, but I would probably choose unikey because it's already packed for my distro.
@huy_ngo, if you have a full size keyboard, try using the compose key (inplace of the menu key noone uses) instead, there're more combinations that way.
@mcsinyx reaching that key is slow.
