@hund Have you tried VLC and then manually setting the music directory?
@jiminycricket It was the classic ".nomedia" feature.
Do you know where your media is on the filesystem? Is there a file called `.nomedia` in the same directory? If so, remove it.

@hund honestly I don't know. Can you try another player from fdroid? I think Apollo is on there.
Perhaps the device changed file permissions as a fluke? Maybe try and re-copy them to the device.
