It's #DataPrivacyDay2025! A core value of ours is Privacy, we believe it's important that you - and only you - control your data. Here's how we help:
We're local-first - it's your data not the cloud's
Analytics are opt-in - we only see what you share
@rachel @homeassistant it's the default provider. When you set up home Assistant, you get met.no configured for your location (wherever you are). The 80% figure suggests that default configurations are seldom modified.

It's also the best. I tried a few others, but returned to that.
@badnetmask@hachyderm.io @signaleleven@fosstodon.org @homeassistant@fosstodon.org oh huh
My config has been going for 8 years or so not sure what is/isn't default in there anymore, or probably has it's own ecosystem growing in there
@rachel @homeassistant @badnetmask I wouldn't know either if I didn't move a couple of times (and New house, fresh start).
But where I live the difference between met.no and the national weather service was big. Maybe I should have compared them for longer.
