Ah, this takes me back to the days of #Krita v1.4 where there were still discussions raging about whether Krita should be a painting app or KDE's answer to #Gimp.

I was in the later camp, and am now glad that they went in the other direction. @halla has always been a wise project maintainer. Much respect to them.

@Blort @davidrevoy 1.4... I remember those days vividily. KImageShop^WKrita had gone through a bunch of maintainers and it was really hard to actually get to a releasable state. Camilla had just rewritten Krita's core, Sven and Cyrille had added so much stuff -- and since Jaroslaw Staniek wanted to release their work on Kexi, we finally managed to get a release of all of KOffice out.

So long ago...

Adrian Page had already started to work on OpenGL integration, tbough.
