Just clicked "Read Later" on an article about procrastination.

It occurred to me that there still isn't really a traditional way to learn networking. Either you go through Cisco's route, read a book or teach yourself but AFAIK there's not any university paths that focus on it.

Food/drink

My first batch of kombucha is mostly done! Main fermentation has completed and now we wait for secondary fermentation without the scoby. So far it tastes like a somewhat more sweet kombucha than what you would buy at the store.

Hard to get pictures, but super exited to have gotten 2 today. They tiny and adorebal, and i find it so cutr that they got born in a cardboard box.

@gstgermain Welcome to Fosstodon. Things are slow at first but as you find people with similar interests and follow them, others will follow you. Create your bio, add an avatar pic and some emojis to your name so others can learn more about you. If you haven't, sending out an introduction listing your interests will help.

The custom emoji list is here:

Good luck and have fun.

For some reason I asked my mom to teach me to use the sewing machine, now I am making my own sweatshirt, I am finishing it today

The bot won’t announce it so let me do it manually: first beta of the next Firefly III is out. Lots of fixes and features (webhooks!) so be sure to grab it and tell me where it’s broken. 🥳

@gstgermain that completely depends on the things you like. At the moment I follow some people that are into self-hosting services and I believe some network managers and of course some shitposters.

When browsing the local timeline you can run into some interesting toots by people and follow them. You can do this on the federated timeline as well but I haven't figured out how to filter out languages I don't speak yet :/

@gstgermain the main thing is finding a couple of people to follow and the rest will come all by itself. I had this account for almost a year before actually using in and in the past 2 (i think) weeks I've really been growing to love this platform because I actually started using it like it's supposed to be used.

@gstgermain Welcome bud. The first step is to not make multiple accounts on different instances like I did by being a noob xD, you can add people from everywhere, as long as its not banned in your current instance

We're hiring a Software Developer for our Anti-Censorship Team.

This developer will work to improve the user experience and process of finding alternate routes to the Tor network when global censorship events block access. FT & remote.

Please share!

Hello! I'm completely new to this platform and I'm trying to learn it. I'm reading the getting started guide so hopefully, I can get a good handle on things here.
