It's quite confusing being bilingual (or having minor ability) and listening to audio where there's background music in one of the languages you know and the actual speaking is in another. It's not quite like having two people speak the same language in each of your ears but it's quite strange nonetheless.

Pro tip: don't use music with lyrics as a background track while talking, even if it's in an "uncommon" language.

@skunksarebetter Music with lyrics is too distracting for me while working as well. Also, those songs get stuck in your head. Music without vocals doesn’t get stuck in my head for some reason.

@greypilgrim @skunksarebetter If someone plays any music while I am working I get stuck in the music. Hahahahaha!

@greypilgrim I very much experience this. It's also difficult to focus even when listening to music that is in some very distant language from any of the ones I know. I think some part of my brain identifies the sounds as probably language and just has to try and figure it out. Of course it never does so I just end up losing concentration.

I don't get songs stuck in my head very often though.
