With the camera on my OnePlus 3 starting to go a little odd once more, I return to my search for a replacement phone:

It looks like OnePlus may be regretting their decision on bundling Facebook services with their devices:

As far as I'm concerned, the damage has still been done.

@gray sounds fun but I doubt that it will get a LineageOS build. Which is really a requirement for me, phones without it are really not worth considering

@Matter Fantastic point. Thankfully that's not a deal breaker for me at this time.

However, the team are interested in custom ROM's and are looking in to it:

So could be a possibility in the future.

@gray I have a OnePlus 6T with LineageOS installed on it. Works perfect.

@gray the📱 phone looks terrific and in another situation I'd be buying right now.

I have a major concern, tho: It has not been shipped so is just a promise and may not not be as good as their specs says. It may not even be a reality. It looks too good to be true.

Dec 2020 is just right on the corner and by now they should be having all the phones on a warehouse ready to be tested and delivered; do they have any evidence?

Sorry if I'm that negative and ruining your excitement.

@esparta I certainly share that concern, as with most projects like this. It has an element of too good to be true about it.

Thankfully I have until some time in November to cancel the order, so I'll be keeping a very close eye on it.

Fingers crossed this one comes through and I can do a write-up about the device! :)
