I had a typographic review with a professional typographer recently. The feedback was so useful. Here's the details:

Apparently Zoom straight up lied about conferences being E2E encrypted, and didn’t tell anyone that they were passing personally identifiable data to Facebook & Google for years.

They have just had their ass handed to them by the FTC, and members of a class action lawsuit will be receiving compensation. Also… maybe don’t use Zoom unless your employer makes you. 😬

Currently reading the print version in German. The interactive material on the author's website seems to be interesting, too.

Interesting story from a Chrome extension developer about how bad actors try to get their malicious code inserted into the extensions or even try to buy the extensions outright.

Aside from my trust to Manjaro and Arch repository maintainers, I think it is a wise idea to be safe than sorry and be pro-active about the situation.

I removed from my home computer. I hope a privacy-respecting fork rises from the ashes of this fantastic tool.

For those who want to read more about the situation:

A tale of two IRC networks:

#Freenode: kicked us out of our channels, harassed one of our ops on their home page, made supposedly "draft" policy changes to permit hate speech

#LiberaChat: participated in *our* forum to address questions about governance and non-profit structure and asked for feedback on improvements: <>

Hmm 🤔

@groovestomp Regardless of what you decide, a "business-grade" or a "self-built" router offers much more possibilities than a consumer/ISP router (e.g. continuous firmware updates). The online review I told you about in my first toot offers a detailed description of the Peplink's router. Good luck. 👍

@groovestomp A PC Engines APUx appliance would fit into your budget IMO.

I'm not working for these people, it's just an example. 🙂

A review performed by "Michael Horowitz".
Check the "update & warning" section, too.
Why not try and build your own router with IPFire/openwrt/pfsense,/opnsense, etc.?
