I'm currently using #VisualStudioCode to write some #JavaScript code, but it's really too slow if I compare it to #SublimeText. Besides, it sometimes crashes abruptly on my Linux system.
I've tried Atom, VSC and Sublime so far. Can somebody here recommend a fast and powerful IDE for JavaScript on #Linux? Thank you.

Looking into how to store things efficiently in #git I came across this SO answer: https://stackoverflow.com/a/8198276
At the end of that answer was this:
`git gc --aggressive`
So I tried that on my local copy of Linus' git repo ... and its size went from 5.1G to 3.4G 😮
It takes a bit of time and CPU power, but I just saved 1.7G without throwing anything away 😎

I recently had #connectivity problems with some websites. Turned out the issue was related to the #MTU size. So I decided to write a small guide about how I resolved the matter:

Apparently Zoom straight up lied about conferences being E2E encrypted, and didn’t tell anyone that they were passing personally identifiable data to Facebook & Google for years.
They have just had their ass handed to them by the FTC, and members of a class action lawsuit will be receiving compensation. Also… maybe don’t use Zoom unless your employer makes you. 😬
Currently reading the print version in German. The interactive material on the author's website seems to be interesting, too.
Interesting story from a Chrome extension developer about how bad actors try to get their malicious code inserted into the extensions or even try to buy the extensions outright.
Aside from my trust to Manjaro and Arch repository maintainers, I think it is a wise idea to be safe than sorry and be pro-active about the situation.
I removed #Audacity from my home computer. I hope a privacy-respecting fork rises from the ashes of this fantastic tool.

Some words on why you should:
a) Always check certificates, and
b) Periodically make sure any devices you own are too

JavaScript is not your friend. The internet shouldn’t know what device you are using.
