For anyone that uses android, DON'T USE THE PLAYSTORE! Use F-droid.

"F-Droid is an installable catalogue of FOSS (Free and Open Source Software) applications for the Android platform"

Don't know how? Follow this tutorial.

Alright friends, the time has come. The mystery peertube instance I volunteered to migrate...video.blender.org!

#Blender is now running the latest version of #peertube! Follows were weird before due to the old version but are working perfectly now! If you are a peertube admin, follow it!

If just want to follow ALL of the channels from #Mastodon, follow @blender !

Glad to help out and I'll be helping with this instance going forward.

Please boost!

#Facebook just bought #Mapillary.

Move your images to a #FOSS *community run* project instead! How? Simple:

1. Download your images: github.com/gitouche-sur-osm/ma

2. Upload to #OpenStreetCam:
OpenStreetCam.org

3. Enjoy giving a giant, fat middle finger to #Zuckerberg. 🌻 🌈 🌻

4. Boost and have a nice day!

I started my new blog on Write.as because apparently i have so much to say than the 500 character limit sometimes :) And i had to begin by writing about my love towards the art of coding. Surely, coding is an art because, just like any other art, you learn it by making mistakes and learning from them. And people often ask me why i love coding so much! Here's why :ac_agreement:

So Trump’s people have started firing people at Open Technology Fund (OTF).

How’d I hear about it? Because Greenhost (an EU-based web host), funded by OTF, provides free hosting for Small Technology Foundation and now that’s at risk.

The latest version of Site.js took me four months to release not just because of general world-wide what-the-fuckery but also because I wrote a Let’s Encrypt library for Node.js called Auto Encrypt from scratch.

Left: SSL Labs report for my site running Site.js before Auto Encrypt (B). Right: after Auto Encrypt (A+)

Auto Encrypt does one thing and one thing well: it automatically encrypts your Node https server.

If you want to have a play, here it is: github.com/small-tech/auto-enc

@gianf Seems so. Specifically less worthless / hateful / crude stuff here, even if the whole local/federated bit it feels like everybody yelling about their hobbies in a big bathroom so far.
