I see from your website that a number of devices are supported but it would be nice to know which ones are "more" supported in order to make a "safe" buy.
I'd like to buy a Mi Band 6 + Galaxy Buds, for example, but I'm open to other devices if they are more supported (more features, easier setup, etc.).
Is there such an (updated) matrix? The one on your site doesn't include Mi Band 6.
I'm Simon Phipps, an older geek lucky enough to have worked on significant tech at some well-known companies & in several open source communities. Too many things to list here, see my About page.
I now work on standards & policy for OSI and help communities with governance things. I also co-host the FLOSS Weekly webcast.
I post about anything that fascinates me - usually music, politics, travel and food as well as about open source.
Progressive, unaligned, he/him
Hey all! I just joined the fediverse and found that it's a nice thing to start with an #introduction.
My name is Nico Alt, you might don't know me but if you do, it's most probably due to the stuff I did at #Briar and #FDroid. Currently I'm not active there but instead focus on university/#physics stuff where I contribute my little part to #quantum #cryptography (multi-party #BBM92 time-bin coding, to be more specific). Other interests are #p2p and #tor, feel free to talk to me about them!

You ungrateful cynics complaining about Mozilla working with Facebook and getting half a billion dollars from Google every year to protect your privacy just don’t understand the sacrifices a corporation must make to pay a CEO $3M+. Have some empathy, people!
TIL about https://lichess.org/ , one of the world's most popular chess servers, run entirely on free software by a nonprofit, ad-free, supported by donations with a budget of ~$420K/year according to https://lichess.org/costs
They've been around since 2010.
As awesome as this is to see, imagine how many free/open nonprofit alternatives to Big Tech platforms would exist if, down to the municipal level, we decided to support them with funding & infrastructure.
Basically it's a headless server, once installed, includes a preconfigured xmpp chat server plus an email server. In addition, it allows for one click installs of many excellent applications like #nextcloud #mastodon #wordpress #bitwarden #peertube and many more. Give it a spin with this handy demo instance https://demo.yunohost.org/yunohost/sso/
Europe's Software Problem
Europe’s communication needs are currently almost exclusively delivered by Chinese hardware that connects us to US-based platforms. For a variety of reasons, this is not a good idea.

I love photography, primary nature, on occasion I shoot people, weddings etc. If there is music in my ears it's even better, mostly all kinds of metal, but I like many genres. Other than that it's mostly PC fiddling or gaming and DIY things.
Happy to be here!
My partner is recovering from top surgery and having a very hard time with the Ace bandage we've been told to use for wrapping their chest during healing. Honestly the wrap is causing more pain than the incisions are. This is terrible for obvious reasons and we need something else, please recommend and / or boost.
