I've been trading emails lately with my best friend of the past twenty years.
Time and illness have robbed him of his sight, and work and life have kept us from getting together as often as we would like. But we can still talk, as old friends should, about life, and love, and all the things that come with it, because of technology (#TTS / #STT)
I am eternally thankful for technology and the opportunities it provides, and for the people who write the free software that enriches us all.
I would also like to point out that plain text, even for the blind, is THE universal interface; humans, machines, algorithms all benefit in speed and interoperability when working in plain text.
