@geekgonecrazy I thought the android client was already open source? Or is that just the desktop client?

@gaurdianaq I think the web client has been for a while. I’m not aware of the Android client being opened yet.

@geekgonecrazy I must say the fact that the apps were not was bugging me... hope the Android app follows soon!
Could it be for security reasons (want to check everything first)?

@silmathoron I think open sourcing can be a pretty complicated process. Have to make sure it’s free of secrets, and in a way to easily add secrets back in for own builds.

Then there is cleaning up so releasing to the world you feel more confident.

Then there is the whole auditing it to make sure by open sourcing you aren’t exposing some api that isn’t secured well enough etc. The whole security through obscurity thing vanishes.
