Bought a tens machine to help with some pain I've been having and I must say I'm rather impressed, the pain in my sciatic nerve seems to be completely gone!

@wizzwizz4 they basically shoot electricity into your muscles/nerves or something. It feels so weird, like on one hand it kind of just feels like a massage, if a massage could also involuntarily cause your muscles to twitch/spasm/lock up temporarily.

@wizzwizz4 seemed to, my leg was hurting earlier and now it's not XD didn't make my leg spasm at all, but I also had one of the pads on my neck hoping it would help with that, that made my arm spasm... I intend to experiment

@gaurdianaq Careful not to apply it to your spine or the front of your neck. And apparently, you can only feel the current on your skin when it's too high (which sounds dubious if the current's high enough to cause muscle spasms, unless Wikipedia means a different sensation).

@wizzwizz4 it could be that this is a combination of a tens unit and a muscle stimulator (which I didn't realize were different things up until recently)

@wizzwizz4 not seeing an option to set the frequency on this particular device
