The last thing I "liked" on FB was my mate's farewell comment to me,
"So long, and thanks for all the pish."

It's great! Absolutely worth the (minimal) cost of the dummy HDMI plug.
I can't justify the cost or space of a second monitor, but for when I need to see a couple of large docs at the same time, or monitor a process, this is ideal!

Currently using my wife's *buntu laptop as a second screen, a spreadsheet open on my old laptop, and another thing running on my android phone.

It is quite CPU-heavy, but no surprise there.

Is there someone here who happens to be knowledge about the swedish law and have maybe 30 minutes to spare for free? I have a couple of hopefully simple questions regarding sub-let.

I usually never ask for this; please boost. It's highly appreciated. Thanks!

I love seeing people banned from other social media randomly show up here. It's like somebody getting kicked out of a bar for being drunk and stumbling into a karate studio.

Hey. Hey, man. Not sure what you're lookin' for, but I'm pretty sure this ain't it, chief.

Guess I really need to sort out hosting my own rss reader.

Suggestions? Tips?

Can anyone share some resources for how XMPP works and best practices for setting up servers and clients?
My end-goal is to host a web-client but also be able to access the chat via a mobile app.
I considered Element, Rocket.Chat, Mattermost, etc. but I don't think they're the right fit for what I need. Although, if XMPP alone doesn't support separate "rooms" I may need to reconsider.

🌎 🌍 🌏 I'm working on a #map of #Mastodon servers "near me" basically mapping servers that are region-specific, as a way for folks to find Mastodon users in their region. Blue = signed on to the Mastodon Covenant, Green = I"m not sure they did.

This is my first time using #openstreetmap so I'd be grateful of any and all feedback, and offers to collaborate - I assume I can share the map for editing somehow 🤷

What's clear from the reaction to this most recent privacy policy change is that WhatsApp shares much more information with Facebook than many users were aware, and has been doing it since 2016. eff.org/deeplinks/2021/01/its-

"The music industry contributed £5.8bn to the UK economy in 2019. (By contrast the fishing industry, which has been financially supported by the government to address the impact of lost quotas after Brexit, contributed £1.4bn."

Facebook’s own research revealed that 64 percent of the time a person joins an extremist Facebook Group, they do so because the platform recommended it.

The epoxy, when set, was too flexible. I have some gorilla glue which I know sets quite rigidly. However, the instructions say "not for use on polyethylene or polypropylene".

Any idea if my cheap Clevo laptop case is made out of either of these?
