I think Germany has made it much harder for itself to become carbon neutral by prioritizing denuclearisation before defossilization of its power

@gabor dunno 🤷‍♂️ nuclear energy might be carbon neutral but it comes with it own set of problems that are hard to overlook, the most important one being toxic waste that will stay toxic for a million years to come.

Renewables are cheaper and easier nowadays. It easier and more future proof to invest in them. Maybe new reactors including fusion reactors can solve the waste problem and make nuclear energy a viable option again, but until then renewables are the way to go imop.

@AaronTheIssueGuy of course they are and no question that we should also quit nuclear fission. Just not sure about the right order everyone else seems to be doing it the other way around. First quit coal then nuclear...
