Ok, so I never properly introduced myself. I'm a rag-tag fugitive from Scroogle+. I've been moderately active on diaspora* (pluspora) for a while, but I'd like to explore the fediverse more. I also staked out a plot on Friendica, but for some reason I don't find it as user friendly. I chose FOSStodon because I'm a programmer by trade. What is the best XMPP client for Android? I'm looking for ease of use primarily. I want to give a recommendation to a non-techie friend of mine. My other criterion is that it not require a "real" phone number. Many apps still seem to require a phone number. I know I could get a phone# from google, but that's far from ideal as well. TIA!
