It's well known that code reviews won't prevent all the bugs. No one claimed otherwise and a paper proving that doesn't really provide anything new.

Code reviews are also based on trust (assumption of good faith). If that's broken, it would take reviewers a lot more time, to a point that it's probably faster for them to write the code themselves. This is exactly why the university is blocked, because the reviewers can no longer assume good faith from their patches.

Ever Given around the bay area: 84 Bridge, Levi's Stadium, SJC (thanks to evergiven-everywhere.glitch.me)

So it's HUGE, but somehow not as huge as I imagined it to be.

Maurice continues to surprise me. This morning I woke up with my laptop's touch pad disable (keyboard still works). Again I have no idea how to do that from KDE's lock screen.

codeberg.org's letsencrypt https certificate just expired this morning

Maurice (my cat) turned off the wifi of my laptop (Debian Bullseye + KDE) from the lock screen last night. I have no idea how he did it, nor how I could do the same.

One thing I learnt from this one is that the visual differences between 8-bit and 16-bit grayscale images are HUGE.

And my Chinese travel blog as well, thanks to Google's Noto fonts (I did need to manually put noto-cjk onto reMarkable, but that's pretty trivial)

My holiday project of 2020: create ePub from url then send to reMarkable tablet.

I hope more authors do this. The music industry already realized that DRM doesn't really help them, the publishing industry should follow suit.
