What if you want a simpler desktop experience than Gnome or KDE? Check out the NEW Fedora Miracle WM Spin!
The Miracle Window Manager is meant not just for folks who carefully craft their tiling experience, but also for users who have never used a window manager before!
Try it today! https://fedoraproject.org/spins/miraclewm
Fedora 41 now uses Valkey instead of Redis due to their shift to a proprietary license. This should be ready for you on a new install, but here is a guide for moving to Valkey if you don't have it yet.

Fedora Atomic Desktop users, here's a brief guide on upgrading to Fedora 41 and how to rollback if you need to!
Rolling back is one of the advantages of using an atomic OS as it lets you return to the previous image you were using as though nothing change.
Just letting you know that exists if you're hesitant about trying the latest release.

@fedora Its good <3
@fedora finally, dnf5
as the default
@fedora Very nice! Thank you for this awesome linux distribution ;)
@fedora I'm so curious to try it! Fedora is never banal and predictable in releasing new versions; there are always great new features, the result of quality work. It's a great example in the open source world.
@fedora so... No more waiting for dnf to update repos?
@fedora Happy to see it made the early release target! Congrats to all the developers who worked hard on this release!
@fedora
Very pleased! I would like to thank everyone involved for making this possible. Fedora has been my main operating system for almost two years. I have a blue hat and a blue T-shirt with a big Fedora logo on it. I'll put it on tomorrow and stick a post-it with the words "Fedora 41 has been released" on it and walk around the office all day.
@fedora congratulations to everyone who worked hard on this!
@fedora congratulations!!!
Was eagerly waiting for this. Deploying a VM first thing in the morning tomorrow.
@fedora Great people, great tech
@fedora just in time for my new laptop
@fedora Congratulations on the release! We hope you all get to eat lots of cake!

@Solus Thank you!
@fedora Great work, thanks everyone
Small things learnt:
dnf list installed -> dnf list --installed
neofetch -> fastfetch
@fedora Why don't you post this on Twitter, too? You still have an account threre, but it seems to be dead, and this it NOT good!
@fedora Let's go! Way to go my most favourite distro.
@fedora Thanks for that. Update was smooth and successful.
@fedora is there a way to see why this is not working? I press the download button but nothing happens :)
@fedora i'd like my Gnome apps on 47 runtime to work again on Wayland. They all work fine in X11.
Can't believe this bug wasn't fixed for main issue
@fedora I’m waiting for the Maui shell spin.
@fedora See, Fedora is great it has so many good things inside. Even though it's backed by a big company it's 10x better than ubuntu by canonical.
@fedora @centos @almalinux @rockylinux Great thing is F41 finally stopped blocking #dnssec validators. We had validation of gpg keys in dnf3. It finally works in default installation, but is not in #dnf5 anymore.
I tested three times Fedora 41.Workstation build (beta, RC1 & Final), After updating system and installing nvidia drivers from RPM fusion, In first boot of Fedora 41 GNOME edition, Gnome 47 system apps doesn't launch on Wayland.
And Fedora 41 doesn't have x season we can't even open terminal to fix it.
@fedora This is awesome! I just upgraded, but I still have the old terminal (not Ptyxis). Do I have to somehow change that manually or should I wait for another update?
@fedora Thank you to the developers! I appreciate your hard work!
