We’re grateful for @slimbook choosing Fedora as a distro they want to support with a product launch. Our hardware partner initiative is one we're trying to grow this year, and the Fedora Slimbook is a valuable part of that.
Make sure to check it out! https://fedora.slimbook.es/
@fedora Oh, that's great news! Any plans to do version with AMD CPU?
@fedora hopefully it'll come in the KDE variant in the future too.
@fedora thats very nice. I would like to buy one here in Brazil.
@funnelfiasco did that burn too much?
@decathorpe @funnelfiasco "If only, if only," the woodpecker cries...
@lecris @fedora @slimbook @gnome I think that there is KDE one https://slimbook.es/pedidos/slimbook-kde/kde-slimbook-15-5-comprar but soldout now
@lecris And you got it! For years, we have been collaborating with @kde_espana @kde this is the KDE SLIMBOOK model: https://kde.slimbook.es/
Hello! This particular model comes with FEDORA, as the name suggests :) https://fedora.slimbook.es/
But if you are interested in a collaboration with KDE, it exists! And we have been collaborating with them for years. The model is this : https://kde.slimbook.es/
@fedora @frameworkcomputer This looks like a destined for the dumpster knockoff of your computer. Are you all in Spain, yet? I know your language suppprt is lacking, but you do have the Western European languages, right?
@fedora @slimbook It's so sad to see that notebook manufacturers still prefer intel+Nvidia When AMD is more efficient if it comes to CPUs, and way better supported if it comes to GPUs.
Sad. Was hoping to find a working AMD Laptop with Linux Support.
--EDIT--
I know there are a lot of good systems out there. I'm not 'complaining' about the lack of systems. I'm complaining that there is a Linux distributor which releases a device which can only run with proprietary drivers (which are STILL not able to run Wayland) and CPUs which are known for being (currently) inefficient and tend to get quite warm.
You can do better, Fedora!
@Arsimael Checkout Star Labs Systems StarFighter.
@cassidy @fedora @slimbook@linuxrocks.online someone, has already made this handy tool to translate such basic info to make a more informed decision. https://flathub.org/apps/com.github.cassidyjames.dippi
@jollyrogue @fedora @slimbook came to leave essentially the same comment. Very promising, but no.
@fedora It has a nice meta key with no Windows logo
@fedora here's hoping these make it into the laptop refresh pool for associates
