I simultaneously want a mobile computer that is as small and thin as possible but also one that has standard replaceable components and good ports. These things don't go together.


you can go the apple route of let's just have one port because *pretty* or you can grab a thinkpad
or maybe something in between
actually that's the right option
(I've had good experiences with the XPS series of Dell laptops)

Yeah, I'm of 2 minds on this. Do I compromise and get something in the middle? Pick the ultra portable or the workhorse? Or both?
