I think the same idea goes into FOSS projects.

Instead of inventing a new thing, using the same stupid approach with a new name, why don't you just help to improve the ones that are exists?

@eletrotupi Sometimes building your own stuff can be fun. It's a good way to learn. Contributing to existing projects can be daunting.

I don't think reinventing the wheel is bad.

@x Honestly, for some weird reason people always complain the same stuff. This sort of comment I made is never related to do something for learning. Reinventing the wheel is good, except if you're reinventing the wheel to do the same mistakes, the same approach etc. This isn't remotely about porting code as well
