Currently installing the latest version of macOS Big Sur that fix battery issues for 2016 and 2017 models of MacBooks. The size of this thing? 2.43 GB. Must be a serious issue...
This issue has now been solved. Both LoadModule userdir_module libexec/apache2/mod_userdir.so and LoadModule php7_module libexec/apache2/libphp7.so was commented so I uncommented them, saved the file, restarted Apache, and viola!
Will now try to fix my personal website so it's even more clean and more lightweight than it is now... I think.
@edgren Can you install Linux on that Mac? Or is that one of the models where it's not working just yet?
@Ateriath Yeah, I can, but Linux Mint 20.1 Cinnamon (as shown on the picture) didn't work that well. I have created a partition for elementary OS 6 which I will install when it has been released. Plans to dual-boot between Linux and macOS.
@edgren Nice. Manjaro runs great on my old mac, but it's a 2012. Sometimes the older the hardware the better the support. 🤷♂️
@edgren I wonder why the update is that large.
@person I wonder that too. A friend of mine thinks that the updates contains the whole operating system with the update applied.
2 restarts and maybe 10 minutes later... 9 minutes remaining 🙄 Why do I have that feeling that macOS are worst than Windows in terms of updates?
Linux for the win! Install the new kernel, do a normal restart, done.
