for does something I never knew I was missing with other static code analyzers and linters: it provides links to the changelogs to educate myself about why the code was changed.

Definitely helps that TYPO3 provides such a clear structure and migration steps with each change.

Rector does not only make upgrades a breeze, its made it fun also. I love learning about new stuff and features.

Kudos to @schreiberten@twitter.com and @he_coli@twitter.com for the impressive work and maintenance.

On my way to the TYPO3 Camp Vienna for a weekend of exchanging knowledge, meeting cool people and maybe give my first barcamp session.

I am very excited to meet my colleagues at @dfau@twitter.com in person for the first time.

Sadly the TYPO3 bubble in the fediverse is quite small, but hey. Maybe I can inspire some folks during the next couple of days.

You don't "have something to hide" when you put blinds on your windows or close the door when you're on the toilet, or wear clothes. Privacy isn't about having something to hide, it's not about keeping secrets. It's about being able to choose what you reveal about yourself, and when, and to who, and the other word we have for that is "dignity". Your inherent dignity, as a human being. Privacy is the agency you have over your dignity.

Becoming a dad made me crave building models again. And, quite to my surprise, there are a lot of good alternative offerings out there.

During the last week I have been building the Lighthouse every evening to unwind before going to bed. And I love it (the building process and the model).

Can not recommend it enough. Now, to think about where I can make room for a likely amassing collection... 🙃

Hey all you proud website owners out there:

Link me your personal website!

I'd like to redo my own, and I'm seeking out inspiration.

Boost welcome 😉 .

Every couple years I like to search for questions one could be asked in a job interview. Not because I'm actively looking, but as a kind of sanity check of my current position and goals.

"What motivates you?" is often a tough one to answer.

And my recent favorite: "What is the most crucial aspect you look for from your employment?"

Do you have any thought provoking questions to share? :-)

Getting ready for my first online barcamp and the first social event during my parental leave.

The TYPO3 Camp Rhein-Ruhr uses as a digital space and for the meeting rooms.

If everything goes smoothly, I think I'll finally check out to host a local meeting.
