@arh@hostux.social I used KeePass for a while but just recently changed to Bitwarden. So far I've been very happy with it!

Internet at risk again (US pol)

Saw all those reports about Trump taking aim at 'social media companies' so I took a look at what he's pushing to be amended: eff.org/issues/cda230

This isn't "social media companies", or "businesses", it's *everything*. Every website every forum every Fedi instance, every FTP server and gopher hole. Absolutely everything.

I severely doubt they'll go ahead and change/revoke this because it'll make all forms of accessible servers liable for whatever snippets of media is on them as if the server owner themselves has authored them.

What's odd is how the media keeps focusing on the 'social network' aspect and not noticing the magnitude of what we're talking about. You'd think they'd notice. :blobthinking:

@nebunez Do they feel too stiff? That's something I'm a bit concerned about.

@hund That's great to hear! They seem to be well positioned on the price/quality scale.

@nebunez I'm debating between Brown and Clear. I've used, and enjoyed, Brown but not Clear. However, it seems to be the preferred choice for office settings.

@hund@linuxrocks.online Nothing yet, a bunch of stuff ended up coming as usual haha. I have decided on the Anne Pro 2, though. Unless there's a sale on those KBParadise keyboards, that's what I'm set on.

@ari_zelanko Congratulations on taking control of your tech back!

Anyone have experience with emacs org-mode? I am looking to migrate away from OmniFocus. I ideally want to use a GTD workflow.

I hate that slack uses as many resources as a full browser. I think I'm going to try that wee chat plug in.

@oscar Yeah, that's what I've found with them, too. Anne Pro 2 seems to have hit a sweet spot for price/quality. The KBParadise stuff is more expensive, that's the main reason I'm debating getting one. At this point I'm leaning heavily towards the Anne just because it does seem like it can't be beat at that price.

@oscar There's so much choice out there! I really like the KBParadise stuff because it seems super sturdy. Then again, so does the Anne. It may just come down to price at the end of the day if they are similar enough.

@njha Yeah it seems pretty nice. I've used a Keychron since one of my coworkers was one, but I think I prefer the 60% form factor. I have to go into the office a few times a week so I want something easier to carry. Though, 65% doesn't seem like it be a problem...hm

@yisraeldov It's taking a bit to get used to, tbh. But when I do remember, it does feel nicer than tryig to reach towards the bottom right ctrl key.

Unbound caps lock and made it control. Let's try this out.

Any 60% keyboard users out there? I've been trying to decide for months now on what to get and can't make up my mind. I *think* I'm picking between the Anne Pro 2 and KBP V60, but I'm not sure which to get. I want to stay under $100USD, so I'm leaning Anne Pro 2, but there are a ton of negative comments which make me hesitant. Any advice is appreciated!

I've enjoyed the last few months with Gnome3, but I think it's time to use KDE again for a while.
