@daremo Are you planning to route power by other means?
I used under-IC decoupling capacitors and ran sleeved tinned-copper wire throughout the board in a grid pattern.
@neildarlow Planning to use under-IC caps as well. I was going to use the same wire for power routing and run it from a connector on the board edge to the center, then out in a grid as you described. Do you have a photo?
@daremo Afraid not, I last used wire-wrap in the 1980s at my workplace.
It was quite an eye-opener when a subsequent employer allowed me to prototype directly to PCB. The challenge then was to get it right first time. 😊
