I'm motivated to use NextCloud, and it's easy to install, but why the actual fuck have I had to restore backups on three consecutive mornings due to 'internal server errors'? I'm not doing crazy shit.
This is a Cloudron install on a Hetzner cloud server. I feel like I'm doing something wrong, but have no idea what.
I installed Nextcloud both as snap and on a LEMP server. Installation on LEMP had issues after few months but never immediately. Snap build was the most convenient and stable. In fact I don't think I ever had any issues with it. Even though I usually don't recommend snaps, I would recommend snap build of Nextcloud for peace of mind.
@dajbelshaw, I’ve #selfhosted #Nextcloud and before that, #owncloud for more than a decade, with the last few years using the awesome LinuxServer.io Nextcloud #docker container. I haven’t had to restore from backup at all in this time. I recommend the LinuxServer.io docker container as it has worked reliably across installs and upgrades.
