@dajbelshaw Well, I also hear people saying about the riots here in the Netherlands: oh these people are stupid, what has gotten into their heads? I think this is where we have to say, no, all this polarisation, livestreaming riots and popularising extreme content has always been the strategy of these platforms, because extremes capture attention, and attention is what lets these platforms make money. This is an excellent example for that argument.
