I am excited about the new Ryzen 3000 series processors. It looks like AMD is finally giving Intel the thrashing they have needed for a while. Intel might have the clock speed, but AMD has cores and IPCs on their side now. It will only get better from here. Yay for competition again!

@d4klutz It's a win for everyone, except for Intel :)

Now, if AMD could just start using the RISC platform in some new branch of processors, I would be soooo happy :)

@brandon That would be cool, but I don't see that happening, mainly because they have so much invested in their current architecture, which is paying of HUGELY.

@d4klutz Oh no, of course that's not going to happen. But RISCV /will/ make a dent in the market at some point. I already see lots of interest for an alternative. Perhaps AMD being back could lessen that but I know that there's a huge amount of interest behind open hardware computing
