I want to be able to tell my friends why #mastodon is better than the birdsite, so I wrote a thing: "Mastodon Is Better than Twitter: Elevator Pitch"
I want this to be as persuasive as possible to outsiders, so I'd appreciate as much feedback as possible from Mastodon users
`git checkout` has too many responsibilities. It's used for both switching branches, and for restoring individual files to a previous state.
So in git 2.23, it's being split into two distinct commands:
`git switch` & `git restore`

Hope you enjoy it as much as I did creating it.
Happy (American) Thanksgiving, y'all.
One of the many things I'm grateful for this year is the wonderful #fosstodon community that we've discovered/built together. You are all great—thanks for being you!

Apparently, #Mastodon has extensive keyboard shortcuts! In the WebUI of your instance, click here to view them! 🙂
(I love shortcuts so I thought I'd share them for others who hadn't seen the little link down there 😉)
One more thing while we're at it. If anyone has connections to opensource projects I'd implore you to reach out and request that they start migrating or at least mirroring their presence on the fediverse (mastodon, peertube etc, etc), it just makes sense!
The more people ask the more likely it is to happen.
