I got stuck on a support call last night for about 3 hours without making any headway. After we decided to call it quits for the evening, I stepped away from my laptop and immediately had another idea. I tried implementing my idea this morning, and it fixed the problem.

It's amazing how just a few moments away gives you a bit of clarity to come up with new solutions.

@consoleaccess very true. Yet, in the moment, fighting the fire, it can be tough to justify stepping away. I'll be thinking that I will lose context and train of thought, so can be trapped down the wrong path for too long. So it goes.

@consoleaccess I had that once where I woke up at 1AM with a possible solution to a problem. The only issue was my brain wouldn't let me go back to sleep till I went and tried it.... 😛
