The fediverse is impressively hungry for anti-harassment tools!

The other day, I released t5.codesections.com/ —a tool to learn who you favorite most. It's a fun tool and spread widely with 30 boosts.

Yesterday, I released mastodon-de-mob.codesections.c As an anti-harassment tool you only use when being actively mobbed, I thought it would be of niche interest.

But instead, it's been boosted nearly 100 times(!), and is still going strong.

@Gargron this might tell you what features people want

@codesections @Gargron by the way, what's your data retention policy for your apps that users are granting account access to?

@amphetamine
I retain exactly 0 data.

It's a purely client-side app, so no data is ever sent to me—the only HTTP requests that send data go to your own instance.

@Gargron

@amphetamine
Ok, I updated the README to address privacy and to add a section mentioning @kensanata Mastodon Blocker as a CLI alternative.
@Gargron

@codesections @amphetamine I generally dislike web client-side apps, but I have to admit that this is a really solid use-case and argument in favor of them.

Like, brutaldon stores very little user data, but I have to admit that it stores more than Pinafore does.

@codesections Unfortunately these posts didn't arrive in my timeline.I think both are good but the favourite thing is more interesting for me.I'll have a look at it later.
